UNCG to Preserve Historic Quad |

UNCG Trustees voted today in favor of renovating the campus's historic
Quad. Since spring the trustees and administration had been debating
whether to renovate the seven residence halls constructed between 1919
and 1923 or to demolish them and rebuild.

Historic District or Sewage Plant? |

Despite the suburban development throughout southwest Wake County, New
Hill has retained its distinctive early- to mid-20th
century appearance.
Now neighboring towns want to put a sewage
treatment plant right on the edge of New Hill's National Register
Historic District.
