Bellamy Welcomes New Director

Gareth Evans has taken the helm at Bellamy Mansion Museum of History and Decorative Arts. Gareth has a tough act to follow in former director Beverly Ayscue, who headed to western NC last month to direct fundraising for Penland School of the Arts.

But Gareth is no stranger to Wilmington preservationists. He's worked for Historic Wilmington Foundation for more than eight years, serving most recently as Associate Director.

Gareth is the third Executive Director since the Bellamy Mansion opened to the public in the early 1990s. He lives with his wife, Jessica, in downtown Wilmington.
