| Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour 2009 |
 This past December, we at Preservation NC were thrilled to participate in Raleigh's Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour with two of our wonderful partners, the Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood and the Capital City Camera Club. Preservation NC's ongoing collaboration with the Capital City Camera Club (see a selection of the Club's work here ) expanded in 2009 to include documentation of Historic Oakwood's Candlelight Tour. The Club's photographers fanned out over the neighborhood to document all the houses on the tour and the crowds enjoying the tour weekend. The three groups also co-sponsored the first Images of Oakwood Architectural Photography Contest. The contest was open to the public and featured public buildngs, private houses and open spaces in the neighborhood. We hope that this contest will become an annual feature of the Tour.
