"Supporters of the Blue Ridge Parkway are celebrating its 75th anniversary this weekend, gazing out over dizzying vistas of forested mountains and breathing in the crisp fresh air. A bill that's slowly making its way through Congress would help ensure that 75 years from now and beyond, after most of us are long gone, new generations will enjoy the same views. Congress should pass the Blue Ridge Parkway Protection Act, which would spend $75 million over five years to preserve up to 50,000 acres of land along the parkway."
