While Union Station left its mark on New Bern history, a dedicated group of people hopes it also may become an important part of the future. The New Bern Preservation Foundation and community members focused on the old train depot Saturday afternoon to mark the building's 100th birthday, sharing stories of the past and plans for its restoration.
