"With shovels in-hand, Mayor Meeker and David Welch broke ground on the Blount Street Commons neighborhood park today [12/1]. Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, the soon to be 27,660 sq. foot park is the development's newest renovation to one of RaleighR's most historic streets.

Developed by LNR Blount St. LLC, Blount Street Commons is a mix of historic homes, live-work condominiums, Carriage Homes and Row Homes. The park will serve as the focal point for the neighborhood with manicured lawns, sculpted gardens and benches for seating.
