Craig and Wilson building conversion speeds up downtown |

Natural light long ago became a stranger to the inside of the historic Craig and Wilson building in downtown Gastonia. When a previous owner removed almost all of the structure's signature windows, bricking up the open spaces, it ruined one of the most dynamic features of the landmark at 100 W. Main Ave. That will change later this month, when glass panes are reinstalled as part of a sweeping plan to put 16 condominium units inside the 110-year-old building.
