From the grant announcement:
"The Cupola House is a 250-year old National Historic Landmark and its Jacobean design is the finest example of the style south of New England. The colonial-era building stands as a reminder of cultural and economic growth during the latter years of British rule and our nation's early history. Grant funds will repair the roof, brick chimneys, fireboxes, and foundation."
