Two New Bern homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places are now listed for sale by Tryon Palace Council of Friends.
The William Hollister House at 613 Broad St. and the Coor-Gaston House at 421 Craven St. now have for sale signs in place after being listed with Century 21 Zaytoun-Raines.
The price tag on the circa 1770 Coor-Gaston House, first owned by colonial political figure James Coor and later by congressman and N.C. supreme Court Judge William Gaston, is $245,000.
The going price for the more recent 1841 home of wealthy merchant Hollister is $225,000.
Council of Friends President Patricia Naumann said, "The Gaston and Hollister houses were either given to or purchased with a small loan before I was on the board 18 years ago."
