|Greensboro's Sunset Hills makes national historic register|
GREENSBORO - Sunset Hills Historic District has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The area, comprised of more than 900 buildings, is Greensboro's first National Register Historic District in more than 15 years, the city said in a news release Monday.
That designation followed an architectural survey Jennifer Martin Mitchell conducted last year on behalf of the city and the North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office.
The neighborhood is one of the city's first suburban neighborhood developments.
Developer A.K. Moore first filed plans to build it in 1926.
