HWF Annual Meeting Features Woodrow Wilson Author

Historic Wilmington Foundation (HWF) will hold its 44th annual meeting on January 28, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at the Upper Room 1871 in the Historic Tileston School.  The meeting celebrates the Foundation's preservation accomplishments of the previous year, and looks ahead to the opportunities of the upcoming year.  New board members and officers will also be installed. This year, Historic Wilmington Foundation is very pleased to announce that Erick Montgomery, Executive Director of Historic Augusta and author of the book Thomas Woodrow Wilson: Family Ties and Southern Perspectives will address the meeting. Montgomery researched all of the towns the 28th president called home including Wilmington when his father, the Reverend Joseph Wilson, served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church.  The public is invited to the Foundation's meeting which begins at 5:30pm and the talk which follows at 6:45pm.  A short reception will follow the talk and the author's book will be available for purchase and signing.
