"A years-long effort to establish a cultural center in Hillsborough appears to be closer than ever to coming to fruition, thanks to the Orange County Public Library's move out of the Whitted Building and into its new home on West Margaret Lane.

The opening of the new main library last January left its former space, the second floor of the Whitted Building, vacant.

To the supporters of the Orange County Cultural Center, that 6,000 square feet of light-filled space looks just about perfect."
