Lincolnton Church Receives Grant |
|
"Historic St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Lincolnton has been awarded a $5,000 grant by the Marion Stedman Covington Foundation of Greensboro, North Carolina. The grant will support the installation of period-appropriate gutters and downspouts to the soffit area on all four roof elevations of the church’s sanctuary to reduce discoloration to the brick-veneered walls and divert rainwater away from the building foundation and crawlspace, and the repair of windows on the Parish House. This project is the result of a Historic Maintenance Preliminary Plan prepared for Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church by Restoration Specialist Rick Owens of Simpsonville, South Carolina in 2009. . ."
