"Three years ago, people who cared about Gastonia's historic
Loray Mill held their breaths: A closing date for the building's
redevelopment was just days away, with a groundbreaking soon to follow.
Then the multi-million-dollar deal slammed head-on into an epic economic
downturn . . . But Atlanta-based Camden Management Group recently said
it expects the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to
approve a Federal Housing Administration loan soon for the project's
first phase."
