'Old Brick House’ is subject of Preservation North Carolina fundraiser

"There was a time when folks would pay 25 cents to view what many claimed was Edward “Blackbeard” Teach’s house along the Pasquotank River in Elizabeth City. The famous claims that the infamous pirate hid in the house, however, are thwarted by history’s documents, placing construction of the Old Brick House, as it is known, at somewhere between 1735 and 1750."
