Project RED (Revitalize East Durham) Historic House Rehabilitations at 1918 Hart Street and 106 N. Driver Street
Preservation North Carolina is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of two single family homes in Northeast Central Durham. Preservation North Carolina receives funding from the City of Durham, Department of Community Development to repair and rehabilitate historic homes that will be sold to low to moderate income households.
Preservation North Carolina will open sealed bids at 4:00 PM on Thursday January 5, 2012 at 3001 Academy Road, Suite 130, Durham, NC. Bidders are advised to attend the Pre-Bid Conference at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 1918 Hart Street, Durham, NC. Representatives from Preservation North Carolina, Preservation Durham, and the Dept. of EO/EA will be present to discuss the Project. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and view 1918 Hart Street and 106 N. Driver Street from 9:00 A.M.-12 P.M. on December 13th.
Each bidder must show evidence that it is licensed under Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. Contractors must meet the North Carolina Lead-Based Paint Hazard Management Program (LHMP-RRP) requirements and must comply with the City of Durham's bonding and insurance requirements. The bids will be evaluated and contracts awarded in accordance with law, including the City of Durham's Small Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program. Preservation North Carolina reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
