Preservation commission for Jamestown? |

"There are times when a building has deteriorated so much that the best thing to do is tear it down. However, at the same time, to the uninitiated, the building may look like a ruin when it could actually be restored if put into the hands of a preservationist.
Jamestown has several examples of buildings that have been reborn, if you will, and saved from the wrecking ball. . . the Jamestown Historic Preservation Group is lobbying to establish a Historic Commission within the town government."
To learn more about historic preservation in Jamestown, the JHPG urges interested parties to attend a program on Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Jamestown Town Hall.
