| Preservationists work to save old signs in NC city |

Preservationists have come up with a plan for protecting quirky, old-school commercial signs that are often eye-catching examples of local history. Nonprofit Historic Charlotte Inc. and longtime Southern brew JFG Coffee - whose 1960s-era lighted sign came down last November - are setting up a program called Save Our Signs.
