"Davidson County renewed its listing contract with Preservation North Carolina and dropped the list price on the Old Lexington Post Office and former Arts United for Davidson County building on South Main Street as it continues to search for a buyer.

In 2010, the county listed the building at an asking price of $575,000 though county staff members have long said that figure was negotiable.  Davidson County Manager Robert Hyatt said the building has had a few showings from interested buyers but no offers. A more recent appraisal and assessment of the building prompted the county to drop the asking price to $300,00."
