Thomasville's National Register District

"The Historic Preservation Commission in Thomasville is continuing its efforts to get the city national historic recognition, homing in on a home, a church, a depot and perhaps the earliest furniture factory in the city.

The commission has begun working on designating a section of Randolph Street, between Colonial Drive and Carolina Avenue, that would carry a National Register designation through the heart of the city.

The Salem Street Historic District was recognized in 2006 as a National Register historic district, adding to the 2005 designation of the historic downtown business district. If Randolph Street is added as a designation, it would complete the National Register designation along the north-south corridor in Thomasville."
