Town mulls options for Pugh |
|
A nip here and a tuck there would give the James M. Pugh House, one of Morrisville's most visible landmarks, a needed facelift. But it's a costly operation - $270,000 to repair and renovate the historic structure located at the corner of Morrisville-Carpenter Road and Page Street. Council members say that might be too hefty a price to pay, at least with public dollars, in lean financial times.
So town leaders are looking for new ways - means that don't require taxpayers to foot the bill - to finance the restoration of the Pugh House, which is a vital part of the town's plan to create a town center.
