| Ward-Hancock house moves to new spot |
|
"Wide load" hardly describes the cumbersome operation required to move the historic Ward-Hancock house barely two miles. Beginning around 9 a.m., the entire process lasted longer than six hours, ending with a strangely vacant lot at 105 Third St. and the 18th century house propped up for repairs at the N.C. Maritime Museum's Gallants Channel Annex. Topsail Voice (03/05/10) |
