| Waxhaw hopes to preserve past with creation of historic district |

The town of Waxhaw's historic district is on the National Register of Historic Places, but that gives the town virtually no authority to preserve its history. That could soon change with the creation of a local historic district, which will allow Waxhaw to preserve its past. WCNC (04/07/10) |
