National Trust for Historic Preservation (2/08/2008)

Each year the National Trust for Historic Preservation publishes its Dozen Distinctive Destinations. Wilmington was named on the 2008 list for "a charm and style all its own that dates back nearly three centuries."

The city joins Asheville (2002), Edenton (2003) and Hillsborough (2007) in receiving the honor. Read more
