| Wilmington architect and artist Ligon Flynn dies |

"An Oct. 16 memorial service is planned for award-winning Wilmington architect Ligon B. Flynn, hailed by friends and associates as an idealist who promoted the humane use of space and connections to nature." Flynn, 79, died in September in Wilmington.
