The Nettie B. Taylor House is a delightful Victorian cottage built in 1912. The quaint front porch opens into the large light-filled living room. With 11-foot ceilings and sunlight streaming in from the windows, it feels bright and airy throughout the house. It also retains its original vernacular folk Victorian mantels.
The Nettie B. Taylor House is in need of complete rehabilitation, with some structural repairs and installation of new mechanical systems, kitchen and baths. Part of the Goldsboro historic district, this property is eligible for historic preservation tax credits.
Goldsboro, located only 55 miles east of Raleigh, is part of a large downtown revitalization project between Preservation NC, Self-Help, the City of Goldsboro and the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation.
