PNC SAFE DAY at Beaumont!

Join PNC for a SAFE Day at Beaumont! Volunteer your time to help clean out a historic home to prepare it for its next chapter in Flat Rock. 

WHEN: Saturday, August 15 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: 72 Beaumont Drive, Flat Rock, North Carolina 28739

WHY: Be a part of bringing back one of historic Flat Rock’s most iconic summer retreats, as we mount a volunteer effort to clean out remaining personal property in the house and a focus on cleaning two distinct rooms to show prospects the future possibilities of this mountain jewel. 

NOTE: Beaumont has unfortunately suffered from fire damage, so don’t wear your croquet whites! Be prepared to wear masks and gloves (which will be provided). As this is an older home that’s suffered from a fire, expect dust and soot inside. Volunteers will mostly be working outside in the gardens or in designated safe spaces. Those with sensitive respiratory conditions are advised to contact Preservation North Carolina Western Regional Director Jack Thomson (jkthomson@presnc.org) and our co-host Historic Flat Rock to get involved with our preservation efforts in other ways.
